My Challenge is for everyone to make a donation in "Honour", "Support". or "In Memory", of someone who has been affected by Cancer. Please indicate the person name when making on-line donations and I will add the name to a card attach to my bike during the ride .. I plan to dedicate a km for each card attached to my bike during the 200 km ride.

Didn't do hill training this weekend ... Went from Oakville to Grimsby on Sunday morning...

 

Sunday May 1st will be doing a 75 km in Markham with the Ride to Conquer Cancer training .. there are hill :)

This will be me on Sunday SHUT UP LEGS!!!

Training is going well.. Special thanks again to the Spinning team at Quad West Oakville they are kicking my A$$... getting me ready for the ride.. At 61 years old training with these 20 to 40 year olds inspires me to push myself knowing the hills I will encounter on the first day of the ride :)

 

Hill training outside in the fresh air this weekend... My bike just glides up the hills thanks to all the training and the investment I made last year on a new road bike.

200 km RIDE to conquer cancer challenge - I dedicate my ride this year to Arianna for a speedy recovery

My challenge is for everyone to donate in "Honour," "Support," or " in Memory" of someone who has been affected by Cancer!

Meet 5 year old Arianna Diagnosed with Leukemia ( B Cell all) last October- I have dedicated my ride this year to provide strength, love and hope that she recovers to good health as soon as possible. Her little brother Alexander is waiting for her to get well so they can enjoy playing outside this summer.

For a parent, having a child diagnosed with cancer can be one of  the most difficult, emotional and overwhelming experiences they will ever face.

I will be riding this year for Arianna who is such a strong and brave little girl as she received Chemo at such a young age..
 

  Childhood cancer does not discriminate; it can happen to anyone. It is the number one disease killer of children in the world.

 Beautiful day for the 1st outdoor ride of the year with the team!  Along the waterfront average speed 22kms an hour :)

Found a natural daily relief for my JOINT pain :)

I have a Vitamix - to make this you will require a good blender

 2 Cups of almond milk

1 teaspoon fresh turmeric - working up to 2 tbsp.

1/2 inch of fresh ginger

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen pineapple

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla

1 large carrot

handful of hemp seed

1 tbsp. coconut oil
